An architecture exhibition for the future of the city by Urbanthinktank_next
The exhibition presents prototypical architectural projects that follow four key themes: NURTURING, DWELLING, MOVING, and GENERATING – all within the context of designing urban imaginary worlds. Ongoing research explores interconnected dynamic processes, methods, pilot projects, and tools that respond to climate change and contribute to global transformations through our everyday behavior: What if plant-based food is the norm, what if housing is affordable, what if mobility is sustainable, and what if we regenerate our environment together on a global, regional, and local level in Salzburg?
This exhibition of ‘100 Ideas for Salzburg’ provides necessary principles that reinforce design as a key factor in the quality of life, focussing on the earth as a whole and opening up possible futures for us.
The exhibition concept invites 100 original projects/protagonists and innovative ideas, both practical and metaphorical, starting at the Museum of Applied Arts / MAK Vienna and the Shenzhen Biennale. The aim is to take a look at Salzburg with original architecture and urban design projects to build a Salzburg toolbox for the next generation to spread and share knowledge for Salzburg, Austria and beyond.
