Kisieland, 2012, 30 min
A documentary featuring an artist's meeting with Ryszard Kisiel, the creator of "Filo"—one of the first gay zines in Central and Eastern Europe. The film is set against the backdrop of Kisiel's previously hidden archive, which consists of dozens of color slides documenting photoshoots organized by Kisiel and his friends in a private apartment.
Afterimages, 2018, 15 min
A short story about a single roll of film from Ryszard Kisiel’s archive. The developed negative from the late 1980s serves as the starting point for both Kisiel’s personal history and a portrait of the gay scene during the final years of the Polish People’s Republic.
Mon chéri Soviétique, 2021, 27:46 min
The film is composed of hundreds of photographs telling the story of the last Soviet soldiers departing from Poland in the 1990s. The narrator of the film, an elderly anonymous citizen of Wrocław, describes a world caught between communism and capitalism, focusing on the relationships between Polish gays and Soviet soldiers: their queer friendships, thrilling love affairs, as well as gossip and legends.
In collaboration with Salzburg International Summer Academy.
