Damilola Adelokiki Orukatan
Damilola is an interdisciplinary performance, sound, and percussion artist whose practice explores the relationship between rhythm, memory, identity, and community. Working across performance, sound, and embodied practice, he uses percussion as a medium for cultural expression, storytelling, and dialogue. His work investigates themes of migration, belonging, and collective memory, creating performative spaces where diverse histories, voices, and experiences converge. Grounded in collaboration and participation, his practice extends beyond the stage through projects with children and young people, using the arts as a catalyst for creativity, empowerment, and intercultural exchange. Damilola envisions an intercultural platform that supports and enables the possibilities across cultural boundaries through collaboration, education, and performance that fosters dialogue.
