Alina Kleytman

(b. 1991, Kharkiv, Ukraine) is a multidisciplinary artist working across monumental sculpture, video, and performance. Her practice explores power, violence, trauma, and social rituals through theatricality and dark humor. She describes her approach as “hysterical realism.” She holds a BA in Monumental Sculpture, Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts (2012), and an MA in Video Art & Installation, Rodchenko Moscow School of Photography and Multimedia (2015). She is a two-time winner of the PinchukArtPrize (2015, 2018) and received the Women in Visual Arts Prize (UN Women & Ukrainian Institute, 2021). In 2020, she co-founded Dzherelo Art Pavilion, Kyiv.
