Dana Kavelina, Letter to a Turtledove (2020), 20 Min.

One of the most important sources for Dana Kavelina's work is the anonymous five-hour documentary To Watch the War (youtube, 2018), a found-footage filmaking piece in its own right. Letter to a Turtledove is a second-degree artistic appropriation of amateur footage shot during the war in Ukraine's Donbass region and recombined into a surreal anti-war film poem.[Quelle: e-flux Film]
