Archival Speculations: Artistic Research and Transmedia Practice
20. 7. – 1. 8. 26
This course explores the archive as a generative method for artistic research and production. Participants will work with found and personal materials (photographs, documents, videos, sounds, memories) to investigate the relationship between memory, media, and creation. Through daily exercises, reading discussions, critical lectures and peer feedback, participants will develop individual or collaborative projects that culminate in a multimedia installation.
Participants will learn to activate archives using transmedia strategies, translate analogue into digital forms (and vice versa), and expand their own practice as a living archive. The course supports experimentation across media and offers both group workshops and one-on-one consultations. It is especially suited to those interested in deepening the conceptual and material foundations of their artistic process.
