Krystyna Piotrowska was born in Zabrze, Poland, in 1949. She works as a printmaker, installation artist, photographer, video artist and curator. Her work touches mainly upon issues of identity and memory. She lives and works in Warsaw

 

She studied at the Department of Interior Design of the Academy of Fine Arts, Cracow (1966 - 1972), the Department of Graphic Art of the Higher School of Fine Arts, Poznań (1972 - 1975), and Grafikskolan Forum, Malmö (1985 - 1990).
